Before the measurement:
- turn on the high voltage
- turn on the low voltage (CAMAC crate under the HV
Power Supply)
- turn on the laser
- turn on the NIM and CAMAC crates
- turn on the HP pulser
To Take Pedestals:
i)
Choose channel b) in the StartUp Window
ii) Choose ADC slot 6, channel 10 for normalization

Unplug cable to HP pulser
2)
Clear Pedestal Registers
3)
Clear Data Registers
4)
Select Pedestal (slider to
the bottom)
5) Start Measurement
6)
Save pedestal data
To Take LED Data:
1)
Plug in LED1 cable
2)
Clear data registers
3)
Select Data (slider to the
top)
4)
Start Measurement
To Graph Data:
1)
Clear Graph
2)
Select Slot 2
3)
Graph Data
4)
Data Window and choose Print
5)
Close Window
6)
Repeat for Slot 6 steps 1-5
7)
Save raw data and analyzed data in files
Label the printout with Date, Wedge number, ReadOut
Module, ADC Slot #
To Take Laser Data:

Open the laser shutter
3)
Clear data registers
4)
Select Data (slider to the
top)
5)
Start Measurement
To Graph Data:

Clear Graph
2)
Select Slot 2
3)
Graph Data
4)
Data Window and choose Print
5)
Close Window
6)
Repeat for Slot 6 steps 1-5
7) Save raw data and analyzed data in files

and start by taking
pedestals
After the measurement:
- ftp all the .ana files to /afs/cern.ch/cms/HCAL/calibration/anal/hb+/wedge##
- turn everything OFF
- hide the expensive HP pulse in cabinet no.5
